Abstract
A possibility of isolation of microorganisms, potential destructors of chlorinated
organics from aged Vietnamese soils polluted with dioxine-containing defoliants was demonstrated.
As an example, the ability of one isolated strain to metabolize pentachlorophenol and
2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid was shown under laboratory conditions. An attempt was made
to identify intermediates of pentachlorophenol metabolism using HPLC. |
